There was world building (yay!), character development across the board (yay! Especially Dorian, he was mostly a pretty playboy in the first book but had actual purpose on this book) and an interesting plot (yay!). While there was still too much time spent on the romance for my liking and the final reveal (I'll avoid spoilers) was not much of a surprise, this was a really fun read.
