Review: Years ago I went to a book signing for Kim Harrison and the husband/wife writing team of Ilona Andrews (love them!). At the time, I had not read Kim Harrison but there were a HUGE number of fans there. It was crazy how many people turned up at a small bookstore in downtown Houston. So I was finally excited to read a series by Harrison. There is a lot of world building here and the introduction of several characters. The main protagonist is a witch, Rachel, and I think she has potential to be a strong lead character for the series. She has an interesting dynamic with her vampire best friend and I am excited to see where the series goes.
