Review: After finding her boss dead, Irene takes a notebook, flees to the west coast and changes her name. Working at a gossip magazine, she ends up embroiled in more crimes. It was interesting reading a book set in a time before cell phones but I just never fully warmed to Irene and the mystery. 2/5
