It starts with a stolen kiss under an English sky, and it ends with a walk down the aisle. It starts with the President sending his best friend to woo me on his behalf, and it ends with my heart split in two. It starts with buried secrets and dangerous desires…and ends with the three of us bound together with a hateful love sharper than any barbed wire.My name is Greer Galloway, and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States.
This is the story of an American Queen.-Goodreads
Review: I really, really, really, wanted to love this book. The sex scenes were spicy and hot. However, I was hoping for “smart erotica” and this was not it. Instant love? Check. Zero relationship development? Check. Working throuple? Wish I could checkmark this but that didn’t happen. The heroine started out as a smart and capable but ended up being a doormat. The decision to make the male love interests as president and vice president of the US really required a suspension of disbelief that I could not maintain for the duration of the book (there never seemed to be any sort of security around them). I think having them as successful businessman would have worked better. I will stick with Megan Hart and CD Reiss for smart erotica in the future.
Grade: 1.5/5
