No sooner does Henri sweep Nancy off her feet and convince her to become Mrs. Fiocca than the Germans invade France and she takes yet another name: a code name.

Review: One of my favorite reads of 2020. Nancy Wake, raised in New Zealand, was a  journalist living in Paris when WWII broke out. She eventually worked for the French Resistance and the Special Operations Executive (SOE). She is not a fictional person-Nancy was a real life, badass spy with nerves of steel. In this fictional novel, Lawhon brings Nancy to life and tells her story. I loved this from start to finish.
